I'm Julie Isabella Vause and I've been writing poetry since I was a small girl.
I'm a bit of a dabbler, you might say. I'll have a writing splurge, then I stop, then I go again.
I seem to be in 'go again' mode at the moment. I wonder if it's because I am now at an age where I have more time to indulge in the things I want to do. I'm also very much into photography and find, on occasion when I look at a photograph I've taken, a poem will pop out spontaneously.
We live in a tiny cottage in beautiful Opua, in the Bay of Islands, Northland, New Zealand.
Around here the views are superb and the bird life is magical.
